Avigayil: My Father is Joy (hardcover)

An invitation is given for the women who want to look for deeper meaning within the scriptures, and proof of what they read, in this exposition of the biblical figure, Abigail. In this exposition, the story of Abigail is examined for growth which may be applied in many aspects of the Christian life, for the woman. Abigail is not the only figure to be gleaned from, but the surrounding and related figures are as well, along with their victories, mistakes, trials, and the like, having provided great opportunity for the precious and unique path of godly womanhood. Whether the reader is single or married, younger or not, new to Christianity or otherwise, the story of Abigail provides a simple yet enriching opportunity for study, as her story may be found relatable to the woman facing hardships in life, prosperity, or both in her season. There are high points in Abigail's story, as well as very low ones, so, by God's grace, her story is exposited for the Christian woman. Saints are to test everything to the word, and with scripture included in this exposition, an opportunity of spiritual growth awaits! Whether error is found within this book, or knowledge is gleaned by the Lord's will, or both, praise be to Him, as testing everything to His word is and will be shown true and beneficial, for His glory, and for our sake. "but test everything; hold fast what is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21 English Standard Version) Abigail was a bringer of joy, and she was wise! So, may wisdom be gleaned from the Lord, who gives it generously. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." (James 1:5 English Standard Version)
